Full licence courses
Experience over the years has taught us that most customers demand short hassle free condensed courses to gain a full licence, often on our motorcycles or scooters using our equipment. Therefore PassMasters are pleased offer the ever popular 1-6 day intensive training programs,
Things have got a little more diffucult to schedule with the new 2 part test that was introduced in May 2009 but its all still possible! We are very lucky to have both mod1 and mod 2 test centres very close to us, so no 3 hour treks to make on test days!
There are 4 elements to gaining a full UK licence, Theory test, CBT, Mod 1 handling test, Mod 2 practical road test.
To gain a full licence typically we find that a complete beginner would need CBT then 4 more days of practice, where as previously experienced riders may only take few days before they would be up to test standard. But you’re an individual and we have a wide range of courses and durations to offer. We suggest that it’s best to come along to see us first so we can check you out and give you a clearer idea prior to booking a course.
Therefore please call us to arrange for a free ½ hour no obligation assessment.
Apart from the theory test which needs to be pre passed, all of our prices are fully inclusive with no nasty hidden surprises! : CBT (if not passed yet), Mod 1 & 2 tests, fully comp insurance with no damage excesses, fuel, oil, helmet, glove, motorcycle or scooter loan, and Vat.
MODULE 1
See for yourself what you have to do on module 1. We will of course practice this part of the test with you until we feel you should get it 1st time, Where possible we take you to the DSAs site to practice Mod1 using their facilities and speed measuring equipment..Here is the DSAs offical video click on link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rvQpy8KAcI
For you classic scooter fans heres a swerve and stop mod 1 practice exersise on a Vespa T5 click on this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9VuJ80-spM
Module 2
Module 2 is a road based test approx 50 mins and here the DSA examiner will first ask you a few safety questions and then will follow behind you with a radio link . This will take place on public roads to make sure you can ride competently in a variety of situations. Again we will fully prepare you for this part of the test and we (were possible) show you around the test areas and routes.
Intensive training courses for A1, A2 or DAS
6 DAY FULL LICENCE COURSE
Six days of training, this comprises of 5 days of intensive training followed by two short ½ days for your test appointments. This course starts with CBT on the first day and continues each day with radio linked on road tuition in a small streamed group. Our aim is to take you from a beginner up to test standard during the course. Your confidence and abilities should increase as the course takes its flow and towards the end of the course we will prepare you for your test appointments. We will conduct mock tests prior to your tests and where possible practice you’re on road Mod 2 test routes. Your first ½ day and mod 1 test usually happens straight away after you have completed your training. Once you have passed Mod 1 we will book your second half day and Mod 2 test.
If you prefer we can pre book your Mod 2 test but be aware that you cannot take it without a successful mod 1 pass and if there is insufficient time to cancel the appointment you would forfeit the mod 2 test fee.
No need for you to book your own tests we have a pre booked allocation.
This course is aimed at a beginner or persons that are very rusty or maybe have only ridden an automatic and want to take a manual transmission test. The course can be split up to suit but we would suggest not to disjoint it too much.
